Dreadful Day Ever

It all started with my case of bedhead hair. I couldn't make it to look right. As I was hurrying out the door, I fell and dropped my lunch all over the carpet. To make matters worse, I was totally late for a very important appointment.

A series/chain/cascade of unfortunate/awful/disastrous events unfolded/occurred/piled on top each other, leaving me feeling like I was in a nightmare/horror movie/comedy of errors. It's the kind of situation where you just want to scream into a pillow.
